RESPON PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN BAWANG MERAH (ALLIUM ASCALONICUM L.) TERHADAP BERAT BIBIT DAN KONSENTRASI ZAT PENGATUR TUMBUH (ZPT) ATONIK

Abstract


            Shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.) is a horticultural commodity that is often used as a food flavoring. This research aims to determine the effect of seed weight and concentration of Atonik Growth Regulatory Substance (ZPT) and their interaction on the growth and yield of shallot plants (Allium ascalonicum L.). The research was carried out in Sulanyah Village, Seririt District, Buleleng Regency, Bali Province from 13 November 2022 to 27 January 2023. The design used was a Randomized Block Design, namely a combined treatment. Seed weight is the first factor with three levels of weight, namely light seeds (2,1 - 4 g) (B1), medium seeds (4,1 - 6 g) (B2), heavy seeds (6,1 - 8 g) (B3 ). The second factor is the concentration of Atonik Growth Regulatory Substance (ZPT) consisting of four levels of concentration, namely control (without atonic solution) (A0), Atonik ZPT concentration 0,5 cc liter-1 water (A1), Atonik ZPT concentration 1 cc liter-1 water (A2) and Atonik ZPT concentration of 1,5 cc liter-1 water (A3). The combination treatment was repeated three times. The results showed that the interaction between seed weight treatment and Atonik ZPT concentration had no significant effect (P≥ 0,05) on almost all parameters observed, except for the parameters when shoots emerged (hst) and oven dry weight of leaves and roots-1 (gram) which had a very significant effect (P<0,01). The highest wet weight of clump tubers-1 gram was achieved by using heavy seeds (B3) at 46,44 gram and the lowest was obtained when using light seeds (B1), namely 39,56 gram or an increase in yield of 17, 39%. Atonic ZPT concentration treatment obtained the highest wet weight of tubers tubers-1 at a concentration of 0,5 cc liter-1 of water (A₁) which was 61,78 g and the lowest result without giving atonic ZPT concentration (A₀) was only 49,56 g or an increase in yield of 24,66%.
